Ban Amphur fishing village.

|
Ban Amphur. This small
village has fantastic seafood restaurants, small shops and it's own pier where
you can take a stroll in the evening to enjoy the sunset before dinner.

Bang Saree Village and Beach
|
A little bit further along
the Sukhumvit Road you find Bang Saree Beach. Here you find several kilometres
of golden sandy beach and the area is well know for its stilt restaurants
serving marvellous seafood dishes. The area is so renowned for it's seafood that
people from Bangkok take a 2 hour drive just to have dinner in Ban Amphur
& Bang Saree.

Nong Nuch Garden
|
Our closest and most famous
attraction is the Nong Nuch Tropical Garden. Just a few minutes drive. You find
this vast landscaped garden with plants and flowers from all around the world.
Inside the park there are also several restaurants, a mini zoo for the
children, a spectacular Thai cultural show and a very entertaining elephant
show. A visit to the Nong Nuch Gardens is a must when you are in this part of
Thailand, and we are sure you will enjoy it weather or not you have green
fingers yourself

Wat Yan Temple
|
Located next to a small lake the temple makes an idyllic scene at special
festivals such as the annual Loy Kratong festival, when many patrons come to
send their Kratong (floats made from flowers) into the water to pay respect to
the water spirits, so that their lives will be prosperous. The kratong
symbolises sending all things bad in a person's life out into the water so that
the bad things no longer come to haunt the person sending the float into the
water. The temple houses sculptures of the Buddha in all his reincarnations.
This temple is popular with the royal family and also houses the head of the
Buddhist order in Thailand. The Crown Prince has been assigned the
responsibility for its running and upkeep. Across the lake you also find a
Chinese mosaic temple that is worth visiting.

Kao Chi Jan Buddha Image

(Mountain Buddha) This painting of the sitting Buddha has been painted on
the mountain wall using laser technique. At the foot of the image there is a
park where you can walk and pray to the Buddha. For non Buddhist visitors the
park has beautiful flowers and water features and is well worth a visit.

Suvale Silverlake
|
One of the few Silverlakes in Thailand is only a few minutes away. We
strongly recommend visiting Suvale to try their produce. The scenic Silverlake
is located next to a lake, and also offers beautiful walks inside the property.

Golf
|
The Pattaya region is home
to many golf courses. We enjoy low green fees at many of these courses. The
closest course is the Phoenix Golf Course with its' 27 holes, only 5 minutes
away from Palm Grove. Other nearby golf courses are Siam Country Club (18),
Bangphra International (36), Burapha Golf, Crystal Bay Resort (27), Eastern
Star (18), Great Lake Golf Clubs (18), Khao Kheow (27), Leam Chabang (27),
Mountain Shadow (18), Noble Place (27), Siracha Golf Clubs (18) and Treasure
Hill (18).

Shopping
|
The best shopping in Thailand is only a short ride on the bus into Pattaya
City. Here you can choose from a wide variety of shopping malls. In North and
South Pattaya you find the Big C shopping Centres. They offer retail shopping,
groceries, restaurants, coffee shops along with clothing, jewelry and
furnishings. The North Pattaya Big C also houses a 6 screen multiplex cinema
showing Thai and foreign films in the original language with Thai Subtitles.

On Beach Road you find Mike Shopping Centre known for it's bargain clothes
and art, and a bit further down the road you have Royal Garden Plaza, home to
Ripleys Believe It Or Not. Royal Garden Plaza is run by the Marriot and offers
high street shopping alongside local products. Royal Garden Plaza also has a 2
screen cinema.

The local branch of Carrefour is located on Central Pattaya Road. Apart from
the Carrefour department store you find many restaurants and small shops
offering handcrafts, beauty products and home decoration. There are also two
branches of Tesco in Pattaya, one in North Pattaya and another one at the end
of Thepprasit Road. Tesco offers the normal products of their department store,
and also have food outlets and other shops incorporated in their buildings.
At the end of Thepprasit Road you also find the
Outlet Mall, where you find clothing and home decoration shops with special
offers all year round. The outlet mall is also the home to a Golf Equipment
shop which is popular amongst golfers |

Golden Beach
|
This popular beach is known
for its windsurfing, kite flying and water-sports. The beach is lined with
Tropical Pine Trees and makes a nice backdrop for a walk by the sea.

Ocean Marina
|
next door to our apartments. This is the only deep water marina on the
Eastern Seaboard. Here you can book cruises and fishing trips. What is nicer
than a sunset cruise where your fresh seafood dinner is served on board? If you
prefer to eat on land, the Ocean Marina Restaurant has panoramic windows and
apart from their excellent food they also offer you an exceptional view of the
Gulf of Thailand.

Islands
|
In the bay of Pattaya you find many islands, the biggest one being Koh Larn.
Koh larn has a ferry from Pattaya, but the other islands are more hard to
reach. Why not take a day to venture to one of these uninhabited islands and enjoy
some snorkelling, a beach pick nick and the privacy and peace that such a trip
can offer.

Fishing
|
Is a must for many when holidaying near tropical waters. There are plenty of
opportunities for fishing in the area, both from land and from boats
|

Diving
|
There are several local dive clubs, so "newbies" and
experienced divers alike are welcome.
